Island of Lights Christmas Parade this Friday, Dec 3, 2010 at 7:30pm

This annual Christmas parade event, from Atlanta Avenue down Lake Park Boulevard to the Federal Point Plaza in Carolina Beach. Watch floats, decorated group entries, bands and even Santa Clause will be there to add to the festivities of the Season and provide a night of entertainment for families. After the parade head on down to the Boardwalk for a stroll around gazing at all the sparkling lights and decorations. Pick up a cup of hot cocoa and gather around the fire pit or enjoy the live nativity scene. So if you’ve been looking for an evening of small hometown family fun come on down and join in on the fun.

Cape Fear Wedding Show Attracts Carolina Beach, NC Brides

This past Sunday Nov. 14th 2010 David and I went to the annual Cape Fear Wedding Show. The show is the best place to get all the information for your North Carolina Beach wedding. Going to the first event in the new Wilmington Convention Center was a real treat. The building is beautiful although there were a few hitches with the elevators our short time there was nice and informative.
We met with so many wedding coordinators, photographers, Limo drivers, cake shops, flower shops and caterers. We tried fruit dipped in chocolate from a fountain, yummy! We saw some really stunning table displays in the prettiest colors with beautiful flower arrangements. Oh and lets not forget the lovely wedding dresses and handsome tuxedos. They even had a runway with models who danced along it to the Tango.
We love to host wedding party guests at our Carolina Beach bed and breakfast it is a great North Carolina Wedding Location spot for your small beach wedding. We are located just across the street from the beach where you can get married right by the waves.

CUCALORUS Film Festival, Wilmington, NC

The Wilmington, NC Cucalorus Film Festival runs November 11-14, 2010. This year is the festivals 16th annual event. There is something for everyone at various places around the Historic Downtown Wilmington area. I've been looking at the list of movies and shorts, there are a lot of movies that I would love to go see.

You can buy passes for all events and parties or just the movies. If you are coming down for the weekend it would be a fun event to check out for the day.
