The Pleasure Island Chowder Cook Off this year was on Saturday April 17, 2010. I took some pictures while we were enjoying the lovely Spring day at the Lake Park tasting some of the wonderful chowders the local restaurants made for the competition.

Beach Weddings at Carolina Beach, NC

This past week we had an intimate wedding on the beach across from our Bed and Breakfast. The happy couple came to Carolina Beach to get married. The ceremony was small and intimate with the couple from Indiana, myself and another couple staying here as the witnesses. The Reverend Penelope Morningstar married Emily and Brett on the beach Tuesday afternoon with the surf behind them under a gorgeous blue sky. Back at the bed and breakfast Champagne and a small wedding cake were waiting for a celebration of their marriage vows.
These intimate beach weddings are the perfect match for our Carolina Beach Bed and Breakfast.
The cake was made by the lovely ladies at Island Cakery right here at Carolina Beach, NC
