Film festival in Wilmington, NC

This week is the Cucalorus film festival in Wilmington, NC.
I recently read about this film festival in the paper this past weekend. I was intrigued by the article so I went searching on line to get more information. I found their site which has a list of movies with times and places where you can see these movies. Plus you can chose from a really great lineup of tours. This year marks their 15th annual festival. With that many years running it must be fun.

Holiday Events in Carolina Beach, NC

There are a number of holiday events scheduled to take place this year at Carolina Beach.

The month long festivities begin on Friday November 27, 2009 with the lighting of the Lake. Walk around the lake to see all the beautiful lighted displays, visit with Santa and warm up with cookies and cocoa.

The Christmas parade will be on December 4, 2009 starting at 7:30pm

Come see all the floats, bands and Santa Clause.

The Christmas Flotilla is December 5, 2009 starting at 6:00pm. Decorated boats of all kinds will be cruising down the Intercoastal Waterway from Snow’s Cut to the boat docks at Carolina Beach and back. I can’t wait to see this event. Watching the usual boats cruise by behind us is fun any day but this will be something special to see.

On December 12, 2009 you will be able to take the tour of homes. Enjoy some Southern Hospitality while the owners welcome you into their homes for the holidays.

Since David and I are relatively new to the Beacon House Inn in Carolina Beach, we are excited to experience all the lights and festivals this year. It will be a great end to the wonderful year we are having already.
